You were my hero.... no, you were everyone's hero. You promised that you would have Kira's head. You promised, smiled at us, and then left.
  For months we waited for your return. It was all we ever talked about. " I wonder when L is gonna come back?" "Ha! Kira better watch out! There's no way that he'll beat L."
  After a  while i started to get worried. You rarely took this long to solve a case. I hoped that nothing bad had happened to you.
  Then, on that terrible day, I learned the truth. I was called out of my room and taken to Roger's office. Mello was there too so i figured that Roger wanted to talk about you.
  I waited impatiently for him to speak, but he remained silent, lookng down sadly at his hands. When he finally spoke, I wished he hadn't.
  " L is dead."
  When i heard this, part of mind snapped.
  How could you be dead? How was this possible? Our hero.....you promised that you would come back!
  I was barely aware of Mello attacking Roger in denial. I tried to cover my shock by focusing on the puzzle that you had given me.
  Later that night, after Mello had left, I felt a strange numbness setle over my body. I still found it hard to believe. How could you, the only person I had ever respected, be dead?
  Eventually, the numbness was replaced with a vehement hatred. All I wanted was to find the person who had killed you. I would track him down and show him no mecy. I swore that I would find whoever had done this no matter the cost. Kira will pay dearly for taking my hero's life....your life.
